Privacy and Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This is an English translation of the Dutch Privacy and Cookie Policy. If this translation differs from the Dutch text, the Dutch version prevails: https://pitchviewer.com/nl/privacy
1.1 Who we are
PitchViewer is offered by Reurings Consultancy B.V., established at Ermelosebrink 14, 3845 LG Harderwijk, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 97621498 (“PitchViewer”, “we”, “us”).
We are the controller of personal data processed via pitchviewer.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains which data we collect, why, for how long, with whom we share it and which rights you have. It applies to the PitchViewer website, including accounts, uploads, saved pitches, the contact form and promotions such as points or partner vouchers.
3. What data we collect
We do not collect data “just in case”. What we process depends on how you use the site.
3.1 When you create an account
- name
- email address
- password (we do not store it in readable form)
- optional: profile photo
3.2 When you use the service
- campsite and pitch details you add yourself
- photos you upload
- pitches you save
- details of a campsite claim, if you submit one
- messages via the contact form (name, email address, subject, message)
3.3 When you take part in a promotion
Data needed to award and pay out points or a reward (for example a Bol.com voucher), such as your account details and your participation.
3.4 Technical data
- IP address, browser and device data, time and pages requested
- log files for security, troubleshooting and operating the site
- cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 6
Photos or texts you post may also contain extra data, such as a face, a number plate or a location. Please do not include those. See also section 5.
4. Why we use data and on what legal basis
You do not need an account to search and view photos.
| Purpose | Examples | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Providing the service | Account, login, displaying and managing uploads, saving pitches | Contract |
| Moderation and quality | Checking photos and pitch details for accuracy, quality and privacy | Contract and legitimate interest |
| Contact | Responding to questions, feedback or partnership requests | Contract or legitimate interest |
| Promotions and rewards | Tracking points, assigning account status and handling a voucher or prize | Contract (participation / account) |
| Security | Preventing abuse, spam and fraud, including an anti-bot check on the contact form | Legitimate interest |
| Improving the site | Seeing which parts work or break | Legitimate interest for strictly technical measurements; consent if non-essential statistics are used |
| Legal obligations | Administration or a request from a competent authority | Legal obligation |
5. Photos and public content
PitchViewer is an open platform. Photos and pitch information you post are visible to anyone who visits the site. That is publication, not sharing with a single vendor.
5.1 Only upload photos of a pitch that you are allowed to share.
5.2 Do not upload photos in which others are recognisable, or blur faces, number plates and other identifying details.
5.3 Uploads may carry a watermark. That is meant to discourage reuse without attribution, not as a privacy measure.
5.4 Moderators may review, refuse or remove uploads.
5.5 If you want a photo or pitch taken offline, use your account tools or contact us under section 14.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies.
6.1 Essential
Needed for the site to work: login, session, language, security and remembering an essential preference. You cannot switch these off in PitchViewer. Your browser may block them; parts of the site may then stop working.
6.2 Non-essential
We place statistics or marketing cookies only if we actually use them and you have given consent. Without consent we do not load them. You can withdraw consent via your cookie settings or by clearing cookies in your browser.
6.3 We do not currently use Microsoft Clarity.
6.4 If you click an external link (for example to Bol.com), that party may set its own cookies. Their policy then applies.
7. Sharing with others
We do not sell your personal data and we do not pass it to advertisers to build a profile of you.
We disclose data in these situations:
7.1 Service providers
Parties that make PitchViewer technically possible, for example hosting, file storage, security (including Cloudflare for anti-bot checks) and authentication. They may use data only for the task we give them.
PitchViewer is hosted via Lovable. Lovable (and the infrastructure it uses, including cloud storage and authentication) processes technical data and data stored in the application to the extent needed to host the site. Their own processing as a platform is governed by their privacy policy.
7.2 At your request
For example if you click a partner link. That partner then receives the data that belong to that click.
7.3 When required
For example following a legal request, or to stop abuse, fraud or an infringement of others’ rights.
7.4 Public uploads
As in section 5: visible to visitors.
7.5 Where the GDPR requires a data processing agreement, we conclude one or use the provider’s terms that fulfil that role.
7.6 Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. If that happens, it is allowed only with a valid transfer tool, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
8. Partner links and Bol.com
The site may show a promotion or banner, for example “Earn a Bol.com voucher”. Taking part is voluntary.
8.1 We link points and participation to your account. A given points balance may result in an account status.
8.2 If you click through to Bol.com or another partner, your browser shares with that party the data needed to recognise the click (and sometimes a purchase).
8.3 PitchViewer does not sell your account data to Bol.com.
8.4 Processing after that click is governed by that partner’s privacy policy.
9. How long we keep data
We keep data no longer than needed for the purpose, plus a short margin for backups, disputes or legal duties.
9.1 Account data
Until you delete your account, then as soon as possible, except what we must keep briefly (for example in backups or in case of abuse).
9.2 Photos and pitch data
For as long as they are published. After deletion by you or by us they leave the site; remnants in backups are cleared within a reasonable time.
9.3 Saved pitches
Until you remove them or close your account.
9.4 Contact messages
We keep contact-form messages for as long as needed to handle your question or report. After that we delete them within a reasonable time, unless we must keep them longer for an ongoing matter, security or a legal duty. We do not apply a fixed one-year period.
9.5 Points and account status
Points belong to your account, not only to a single promotion. They may lead to an account status. We keep points and the linked status for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, points and status go with it, except what we must keep briefly to settle an outstanding reward, abuse or a legal duty.
A promotion or Bol.com voucher you win is handled and then kept no longer than needed for that payout.
9.6 Technical logs
Server, security and error logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) are used to run the site and investigate abuse. Part of that is stored automatically by our hosting provider. We do not set a longer retention period ourselves. How long those logs remain follows from that provider’s settings and policy. They are then deleted under that provider’s process, unless we temporarily need them for a specific security investigation.
10. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as encrypted connections, access restriction and review of uploads. No system is completely sealed.
Protect your account as well. Choose a unique password of at least 12 characters, with uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and punctuation, and do not reuse it elsewhere. Also enable multi-factor authentication (MFA). Together these steps reduce the chance that someone else logs in or misuses your account.
If you see a leak or a photo that should not be online, report it via the contact form.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for:
- access to your personal data
- correction of inaccurate data
- erasure
- restriction of processing
- portability of data you provided to us
- objection to processing based on legitimate interest
11.7 You can withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time. That does not make earlier processing unlawful.
11.8 We may ask for extra information to confirm that the request comes from you.
11.9 You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens): autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. If you live in another EU/EEA country, you may instead complain to the supervisory authority there.
12. Children and age limits
PitchViewer is not intended for accounts created by children under 16. If we doubt the age, we may refuse or delete the account.
Taking part in promotions in which you can win a prize, voucher or similar reward is allowed only from the age of 18. That follows the statutory age limit for games of chance and prize promotions in the Netherlands. We may ask for an age declaration or proof before paying out a prize.
13. Changes
When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is material (a new purpose, a new category of data or a recipient you could not expect), we make that visible on the site.
14. Contact
